Dead of Winter (2010) #25DaysofCreepmas

I’m kicking off #25DaysofCreepmas with a black-as-coal, cold-as-ice short story collection by Kealan Patrick Burke. I read this for the first time in last year, alongside some other Christmas horror collections, and it stood out tremendously. It’s a mix of winter & holiday themes and damn, they really drive the horror home. My favorite story is ‘Visitation Rights’. It has a hell of a twist and I would love to see it executed as a short film. The cover design is perfect and the collection as a whole is a great way to get into the Christmas dispirit. [1/25].
