Dead Leaves (2011) #31DaysofSpookyBooks

Burke loves Halloween. Like, a lot. He fits right in with the rest of us creepy loving, horror craving dorks, and his stories prove it. He’s not afraid to write sad endings or to place his charming humor where he sees fit. Plus, these 9 are all seasonal AF. And that’s all you really need to know without spoiling it. Trust me.  Dead Leaves is just one of his many collections and is an obligatory, dark read for October time or Halloween night. I also loooove his holiday horror collection, Dead of Winter. He’s one cold son of a bitch. Ehhh? Get it? I’ll go. [19/31]
