Hawthorne is arguably the voice of New England and is a frequent patron of autumn. This eerie short story is about a Salem Village man who stumbles upon a Satanic gathering in the woods. It’s SO atmospheric with mega The VVitch vibes. It’s only 48 pages, so there’s no excuse for you not to check it out, especially if you’re into folk horror and nature based settings (aka scary ass forests). Go read it out in the woods and do a “Hail Satan” or two for the sake of the season. Clothing optional. (3/31).
